Towards Achieving a Haemophilia-free Mind

Read the Hermans et al. Haemophilia 2023 publication

This commentary looks at how rapid haemophilia therapies are evolving and what that could mean for patient outcomes beyond bleed prevention. It introduces the idea of a ‘haemophilia-free mind’ - freedom from bleeding, pain, joint damage and treatment constraints. It considers how sustained haemostatic protection might support a more normal life, while acknowledging ongoing challenges in access, outcomes and equity.
