Normalisation of Haemostasis in Haemophilia A

This report summarises expert discussions on evolving treatment goals in haemophilia A, moving beyond bleed reduction towards achieving haemostatic levels comparable to individuals without haemophilia.
The report highlights how newer therapies may enable sustained FVIII levels in the non-haemophilia range, with the aim of eliminating both clinical and subclinical bleeds and improving joint health and quality of life.
It emphasises a paradigm shift towards ‘normalisation’ through more ambitious patient-centred treatment targets.
