FVIII activity over time and pharmacokinetic variables were additional secondary endpoints in XTEND-1 and XTEND-Kids. ABR was defined as the number of treated bleeding episodes, which are the occurrence of haemorrhage that required administration of ALTUVOCT, measured from the first sign of bleed to ≤72 hours after the last injection to treat the bleeding episode.1,2

*ALTUVOCT sustains FVIII levels in the non-haemophilia range for up to 4 days in adults and adolescents and up to 3 days in children;1–3 †Pharmacokinetic sampling was performed over a period of 3, 5, and 14 days after the administration of octocog alfa, rurioctocog alfa pegol, and efanesoctocog alfa, respectively.4

ABR, annualised bleed rate; ED, exposure day; FVIII, factor VIII; SD, standard deviation; SHA, severe haemophilia A.

EHL, extended half-life; SHL, standard half-life; FVIII, coagulation factor VIII
